High Plains Twin Blade

Europe has always possessed an edge over the United States when it comes to green energy production. Just look at Denmark, Germany and Spain. These countries are now meeting 10%-25% of their electricity needs with wind energy. However, the U.S. is quickly catching up with wind farms in the US currently providing 11,603 megawatts of electricity, producing estimated 31 billion kilowatt hours annually. That's enough electricity to power 2.9 million American homes!

With an annual growth rate of over 35.7%,wind power is the world's fastest growing energy source. This is a 100% clean source of electricity expected to displace at least 23 million tons of carbon dioxide each year which would otherwise be emitted by oil, coal, natural gas, or other forms of traditional, yet toxic energy sources.

With rising environmental consciousness sweeping the nation, and more and more government, state, and local financial incentives being offered every year, wind energy is quickly taking over as the country's primary energy source.A High Plains Twin Blade is helping to usher in a new age of green power.

But, what is a High Plains Twin Blade and how does it work?

The rotor blades of a wind turbine generally work like the wings of an airplane. When air passes over the blades,"lift" is created. This lift then sends the blades spinning in circular motion which, in turn, drives an electric generator. When winds reach 7 knots, the rotor is activated and the wind turbine commences power production.

The High Plains Twin Blade 1 kW features a heavy-duty welded steel frame, carbon fiber-epoxy composite blades, industrial-strength, rare-earth, super-magnet generator, heavy-duty shock absorber, rectifying diodes in aluminum heat sinks, and an aerospace aluminum sandwich composite tail, all of which is manufactured in the USA.

If you are living in a reasonably windy location, such as the Midwestern or plains states, a High Plains Twin Blade wind turbine should be a must on your list of needs during these environmentally conscious times.
