Incentives may be available to lower the price of your purchase.

In the United States, the following incentives are available:

In October, 2008, the US government implemented a 30% tax credit towards the purchase of wind turbines smaller than 100kW. The tax credit has a maximum value of $4,000 and will be received with your tax return.
Also in the US, several states have additional incentives available. The Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency lists incentives available by state.
